Jürgen Klopp said on Sunday that he has a deal with employer Red Bull to allow him to become Germany coach but that talks are still needed with the German Football Federation (DFB).
The former Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool boss has been Global Head of Soccer for the drinks firm's sports arm since January 2025, having taken a break from coaching to recharge his batteries.
"I have reached an agreement with Red Bull – a generous arrangement," Klopp told MagentaTV, where he is finishing his punditry duty at the World Cup final.
As for a deal with the DFB, he added: "Nothing is final yet, but the talks are ongoing and everything is moving in the right direction."
