LAS VEGAS – King Green hopes to get an opportunity to fight for the BMF title.
Green (35-17-1 MMA, 16-12-1 UFC) meets Terrance McKinney (18-8 MMA, 8-5 UFC) in Saturday's UFC 329 (Paramount+) main card opener at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Currently riding a three-fight winning streak, Green upset Daniel Zellhuber with a second-round TKO in February, followed by a first-round submission of veteran Jeremy Stephens at UFC 328. With a win over McKinney, Green would be seeking bigger fights.
"I'm really trying to chase that BMF belt," Green told MMA Junkie. "Get another accolade to add to my career, and my roster is just chasing the BMF, if I can get that title and bring it back to my boy Nate Diaz. So, that's my intentions."

Charles Oliveira is the current BMF champion after he outgrappled Max Holloway in a lackluster affair at UFC 326. Green isn't happy with the way that fight played out and wants to show how he can represent the belt.
"I feel like the BMF is something different where we're trying to keep fighting really alive, and Charles f*cked that up for us," Green said. "But I'm trying to keep fighting in its classic form. It's a fight, and some of the newer guys are trying to water the brand down and go, 'It's just a competition. We're competing.' No, no, no, we're fighting. So, hopefully I can get that honor to be considered one of the BMFs and go fight for the BMF title."
