Toronto Tempo rookie guard Kiki Rice left Wednesday night's road stand against the New York Liberty with what looked like an ankle injury.

Late in the fourth quarter, Rice fell to the court on a blocked layup attempt and looked to be in pain while holding her left ankle before she got up and went to the tunnel to get treatment from the medical staff.

Tempo coach Sandy Brondello said after the game that there are no updates on Rice's condition, per TSN's Raegan Subban. If she misses any time, that'd be a tough go for the 5-5 Tempo.

Rice, the former UCLA standout on the school's 2026 title-winning team, has averaged 13.1 points and 4.7 rebounds this season, living up to her first-round WNBA Draft status.

We'll see if we can hear more about Rice's injury status in the days ahead.

When do the Tempo play next?

The team plays the Chicago Sky at home on Sunday afternoon.
