Rookie guards Kiki Iriafen and Sonia Citron both made their regular-season debuts last night against the Atlanta Dream, which ended in a win for the Washington Mystics.
Iriafen scored 14 points, and Citron tallied 19. The duo contributed four assists and six rebounds. After the game, they expressed their feelings about playing with each other.
"I absolutely love playing with Sonia," Iriafen said. "She's so selfless...The way that she plays, she's just so composed. And obviously, we played against each other in college. So to actually be her teammate, just seeing the way that she's so consistent, she's so level-headed, I feel like I try to emulate that as well. She's a role model for me."

"We're always talking. We're always communicating. Even before this game, we were kind of talking to each other about how we feel." She added.
Citron and Iriafen played at Notre Dame and USC, respectively, before getting drafted by the Mystics in the third and fourth rounds.
I think Kiki kind of said it great. I love playing with Kiki." Citron expressed, revealing her side. "She's an amazing player, an amazing person. And like she said, we were talking about just before the game, our nerves, our first starts. And we get to do it together."
"It's just really cool to have someone like that by your side. She reassured me. And just to get the win with her, everybody, obviously. But it was really cool. And again, just an amazing player, even better person."
Citron's performance last night was one of the best performances in all three games played yesterday. She competed with the likes of Paige Bueckers, who posted 10 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists in a loss.
