Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow’s affinity for the music of rapper Kid Cudi is well-documented.
During the Bengals’ march to the Super Bowl in early 2022, Burrow revealed he listened to Cudi’s “New York City Rage Fest” before every game.

Eventually, Kid Cudi asked for and received the jersey Burrow wore during a 27-24 overtime victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game. To celebrate, Cudi wrote Burrow a song, which turned into the track “Burrow” from his “Entergalactic” album.
On Monday, May 18, the Ohio natives renewed acquaintances at a Bengals workout in Cincinnati. MLFootball shared the exchange on X.
Burrow told Kid Cudi he was disappointed he missed a Saturday concert in Cincinnati.
“I wanted to make it to the show on Saturday, but I had to go home to see the parents. The clips look fun,” Burrow said.
Burrow is a native of The Plains, near Athens, Ohio, while Kid Cudi hails from Cleveland.
The Bengals shared video of Kid Cudi, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, arriving to the team facility in a custom No. 84 jersey. Mescudi was born January 30, 1984.
Kid Cudi later hit the Paycor Stadium turf and performed an unintentionally hilarious “punt six.”
During his conversation with Burrow, Kid Cudi may have accidentally broken some big news. He let slip that he plans to play the Sphere in Las Vegas next year.
When Burrow learned Kid Cudi and his entourage planned to remain in town for a few days, he invited the rapper to his house.
“You guys want to come to the house and get dinner or something tonight?” Burrow asked.
“Let’s do it,” Kid Cudi responded.
Burrow and the Bengals hope to improve on last season’s 6-11 record. They have missed the playoffs in each of the past three campaigns.
