New Mexico’s game against Mountain West newcomer North Dakota State will be an 8 p.m. kickoff on The CW, the league announced Tuesday.

Scheduled for Oct. 24 at University Stadium, the game marks the Lobos’ third appearance on The CW and ninth overall on national television in coach Jason Eck’s second season with the program.

The NDSU game is also slated to serve as UNM’s homecoming, one of six themes announced by the program Monday, in the program's first matchup against the Bison. NDSU is set to join the Mountain West as a football-only member this summer after dominating the FCS ranks over the better part of the last 20 years.

The Lobos were selected last week for eight nationally televised broadcasts via CBS Sports Network, FS1, ESPN2 and The CW.

Three of the program’s four nonconference games — vs. Central Michigan (FS1), at Oklahoma (ESPN2) and at NMSU (CBS Sports Network) — and six of its conference games — at Hawaii (Fox Networks), vs. North Dakota State (The CW), at Nevada (CBS Sports Network), vs. UNLV (The CW), at Wyoming (FS1) and vs. Air Force (The CW) — have national broadcasts.

An announcement on which Fox network will broadcast the UNM-Hawaii matchup is expected closer to the season.

Only UNM’s games against FCS Mercyhurst, UTEP and San Jose State will be streamed on MW+, the Mountain West’s new streaming service. Times for those games will be announced at a later date.
