KFFL, Confusing update on Holliday

I understood that the Cardinals where close to a deal with Holliday from a Jurecki thread earlier but on the KFFL hotwire they report that a deal is not likely according to sources of the AZRepublic. Is it just typical Republic negative Cardinal talk or does it hold some truth?

Reading between the lines, it appears that we have offered the most money but Holliday doesn't want to play here. He seems to be shopping our offer around the league.

Seattle found it too rich so Vonnie is off searching again for a better place to play.

Jet - I think the chronology of some of the Holliday material got scrambled.

The one from KFFL quoting the Republic as saying that Holliday wasn't interested in the Cards followed by a quote from the dude's agent saying that the Cards were still in the hunt and capped by a headline saying that Holliday wasn't interested in the Cards was two or three different peoples' different takes on what appeared to be day-old news.

Truth be told - Holliday's agent is probably out there dialing for dollars - and the more teams in the hunt, the merrier.

The best thing we can do is forget about Holliday, take a nice warm bath with someone we love and let Graves do his thing. Following this soap opera too closely is just going to drive us nuts.
