The Atlanta Falcons have added several new faces since the start of the offseason, but not everyone will make the team's 53-man roster out of training camp. Head coach Kevin Stefanski is looking for versatile players who can provide value, and former Georgia running back Cash Jones fits that description.

Jones was one of 14 undrafted free agents to sign with Atlanta following the 2026 NFL Draft. The pass-catching specialist has been taking reps at wide receiver at Falcons OTAs this week.

Stefanski praised the former Bulldog's intelligence when asked about the position switch on Tuesday.

"This is a very, very smart football player," Stefanski said of Jones. "Obviously, UGA fans know the type of player he is and the type of plays he's made in the course of his career. I'm so impressed with who he is as a person. The intelligence part of this - you can't just have a guy go from running back to wide receiver if he's not intelligent. We're going to continue to work him in different spots."

Jones racked up 57 catches for 573 yards and six receiving touchdowns over four seasons at Georgia. While he isn't exactly Bijan Robinson in terms of dual-threat ability, Jones' versatility gives him a chance to make the roster.

"If you are multiple and you're versatile, you give yourself a chance in this league," Stefanski concluded.
