Kentucky Wildcats men's basketball is hoping to return to prominence in the near future, but they'll likely have to make the climb without guard Collin Chandler. He has entered the transfer portal with a "do not contact" tag.

Chandler spent the first two seasons of his college career in Lexington, emerging as one of the more lethal perimeter shooters in college basketball. He shot 41% from three-point range this past season.

It's going to be interesting to see where he lands if he leaves Kentucky. Some are connecting the dots to BYU, which is where Chandler initially committed when Kentucky head coach Mark Pope was there.

While Chandler doesn't have the exact same skill set as departing BYU senior Richie Saunders, the former's shooting ability would give the Cougars a comparable replacement.

UK Wildcats Wire noted that certain college basketball experts believe Kentucky is set to take a step back with their roster as presently constituted.
