Recently, Kentucky Wildcats basketball coach Mark Pope requested questions from Big Blue Nation on social media. He was instantly flooded with thousands of responses ranging from honest questions about the roster to blunt criticisms of his job so far in Lexington. To his credit, he released a video answering some of the tough ones that he received. Then, on Thursday, he was back at it, posting another video answering more questions he received.
This time around, Pope focused on two players heading into next season. First up was Ousmane N'Diaye, who he was very excited about. After clearing up the pronunciation of his name, Pope hyped the length of the his new forward, pointing out that N'Diaye is only slightly taller than Pope, but has a much higher reach.
Pope also commented on Kam Williams. In reference to Williams as a potential start, Pope said yes. He added, "He missed 12 games, but was still our leading plus/minus guy. His foot is healthy now." He also shared that Williams had added weight this offseason.
Another point he addressed was the rumor that international prospect Marcios Santos was already committed to LSU when Pope went to see him. He simply stated that was not true.
Again, the full video is worth a watch. He dives into what they look for in international players, and a potential trip overseas this summer.
