It was a tough weekend for the Kentucky Wildcats baseball team, who dropped a three-game series to a very good Ole Miss team. So, on Tuesday night, they looked to bounce back and get another winning streak started. The bats were awake, and the Wildcats got a 14-4 victory over Murray State.

The first run of the game was scored by the Racers, but the lead didn't last long. Kentucky scored three runs in the first inning, and four more in the second to get ahead 7-1. Then, they exploded for six run in the sixth inning, and the run rule would be invoked after seven.

Hudson Brown had a big day at the plate with two hits, two walks, two runs scored, and four RBIs. Ethan Hindle and Jayce Tharnish each drove in two runs. Tyler Bell walked three times and scored each time he was on base.

On the mound, Kentucky elected to pitch by committee. Nine different pitchers combined to give up just five hits and four runs. Ryan Mullen was credited with the win, his second of the season.

This weekend, it'll be back to SEC play for the Wildcats. They'll travel to Baton Rouge for a three game set with the LSU Tigers starting Friday at 7:30 P.M. ET.
