The Michigan football offense needed all the help it could get last year, but it was more in the passing game than the run game. The run game did suffer due to the lack of passing, and the Wolverines had a solid goal-line package with Kalel Mullings as the ball carrier and Max Bredeson as the lead blocker.
But there apparently was another tantalizing option on the table that we'll never get to see.
The Miami Dolphins selected Michigan defensive tackle Kenneth Grant with the No. 13 overall pick in the first round of the 2025 NFL draft on Thursday evening, and it turns out being a dominant run stuffer isn't the only thing on Grant's resume. As it turns out, he may be able to also run the football. In fact, Grant admitted to the Dolphins media, that the Wolverines had a package for him, they just never used it.
At 330 pounds, Grant would have been awfully difficult to slow down once he got the ball in his hands and momentum. But alas, we'll never see it, at least not with him wearing a winged helmet (and it's unlikely we'll see it with him in the pro ranks, as well).
The package will go down with others -- such as Jabrill Peppers attempting a pass attempt -- that has been teased but will never come to fruition.

Big man Kenneth Grant of the Dolphins said there was a package where he would get to "run the rock" at Michigan but it didn't happen for him
