Kay Adams of FanDuel's "Up & Adams" show recently revealed her top five most intriguing games of the upcoming 2026 NFL season. Topping her list? The Denver Broncos facing the New England Patriotsin Week 17.
As every Broncos fan painfully recalls, the Broncos lost to the Patriots 10-7 in the AFC Championship game earlier this year. Jarett Stidham started that game at quarterback after Bo Nix suffered a season-ending ankle injury at the end of the Broncos' thrilling 33-30 overtime win against the Buffalo Bills in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs.
"Most intriguing matchups as we look forward to the schedule being released, I'm going to say, without question, it's Broncos at Pats," Adams said earlier this week.
"Because, and this is without Jarett Stidham this time hopefully, no offense to him, of course, former Patriot ... the AFC Championship game last year, this was the biggest 'what-if' this was the biggest unfinished business ... we'll never know what would have happened if Bo Nix would have been out there," Adams noted.

While it wouldn't undo the pain of the past, a win against the Patriots is always a good thing. And of course, this year, as Adams further explained, we also have the captivating matchups between Jayden Waddle and Christian Gonzales and (presumably) A.J. Brown squared up against Pat Surtain.
Kay's absolutely right — this definitely could have been a Week 1 game!
