Katherine Legge is returning to the Indianapolis 500. Legge will drive the No. 11 car for A.J. Foyt Racing and HMD Motorsports in the 2026 Indianapolis 500, the teams announced. It will be an A.J. Foyt Racing car in partnership with HMD Motorsports for the veteran driver.
Legge aims to make her fifth start in the Indianapolis 500, with her last coming in 2024, finishing in 29th place with Dale Coyne Racing. The 45-year-old driver will be sponsored by e.l.f. cosmetics and participate in the open Indy 500 test on Tuesday and Wednesday.
In four Indianapolis 500 starts, Legge has a best finish of 22nd place during the 2012 season. It was the A.J. Foyt Racing driver's rookie season in the NTT IndyCar Series. Now, Legge hopes to make a massive statement in May to become the first woman driver win The Greatest Spectacle in Racing.
