Tennessee junior Karlyn Pickens earned both SEC Pitcher of the Week and National Fastpitch Coaches Association Pitcher of the Week for a second consecutive time.

Pickens, a right-hand pitcher, earned two victories over No. 17 Mississippi State. She allowed six baserunners over 10 innings. Pickens recorded 10 strikeouts and two shutouts in the SEC series against the Bulldogs.

Pickens (15-4) pitched a one-hit shutout in game No. 1 and an 8-0 victory over Mississippi State. She recorded six strikeouts. In game No. 3, Pickens pitched a a five-inning complete game in Tennessee's, 8-0, victory. She allowed one hit and one walk. Pickens recorded four strikeouts.

She has recorded five shutouts this season and has a 0.94 ERA, which leads the SEC and is fourth in the nation. Pickens has been named NFCA Pitcher of the Week twice, and earned a weekly SEC honor for the eighth time in her career.
