Karl Darlow: United agree deal to sign goalkeeper after Leeds exit
Manchester United have struck an agreement to sign Karl Darlow, who could potentially be their third summer arrival.
According to Fabrizio Romano, United have agreed a deal to sign Darlow, who has decided to leave Leeds United as a free agent.
The Italian journalist writes on X: “Deal done and signature to follow on Friday. Contract valid until June 2029 plus option to extend for #MUFC.”
The 35-year-old Welsh goalkeeper, who has been described as “outstanding”, enjoyed a solid season under Daniel Farke at Elland Road, displacing major signing Lucas Perri as the number one.
Darlow made 22 appearances in the Premier League last term, helping Leeds avoid relegation to the Championship. He kept five clean sheets during the process.
