Alabama football had a focus this offseason, and the Crimson Tide's latest hire shows that continued push.

Viane Talamaivao, a former USC offensive lineman who once committed to Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide, was added to Kalen DeBoer's staff as an assistant to work under offensive line coach Adrian Klemm, DeBoer announced on "The Martin Houston Show."

Former Louisville grad assistant and South Alabama offensive lineman Noah Fisher also joined Alabama's staff this week. Alabama offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb and tight ends coach Richard Owens also have offensive line backgrounds.

Talamaivao most recently worked as Stanford's co-offensive line coach after coaching with Klemm at Oregon as a grad assistant.

DeBoer said that the offensive line focus on staff is "intentional" and he wants players who emulate offensive linemen in the NFL.

"You have to have that technique, but to me, you have to have that mobility," DeBoer said. "I think we got some guys that are developing here. I think it's been a good spring for us. Lot of new faces, but guys that are really silently working hard and just going about their business and really creating a quiet confidence about them."
