Veteran center Jusuf Nurkić is set to sign a two-year, $22 million deal to return to the Utah Jazz, league sources confirmed to Deseret News on Monday.
ESPN was first to report the deal.
The Jazz don't have a very long offseason to-do list. But, as president of basketball operations Austin Ainge mentioned on Saturday at rookie Darryn Peterson's introductory press conference, there is one glaring gap on the roster as the team looks ahead to the 2026-27 season.
"Obviously, we don't have any centers under contract right now," Ainge said. "So that will be one area, for sure, we'll work on."

Nurkić was traded to the Jazz last summer in the deal that sent Collin Sexton to the Charlotte Hornets. During the 2025-26 season, he averaged 10.9 points, 10.4 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game for the Jazz and became the first player in franchise history to record three triple-doubles in a row.
