Tennessee basketball forward J.P. Estrella is out for the Vols against Vanderbilt.

The sophomore did not practice with the team during warmups and was not dressed.

He will not be available for the Vols (19-7, 9-4 SEC) as they take on No. 18 Vanderbilt (21-5, 8-5) at Memorial Gymnasium on Feb. 21 (2 p.m. ET, ESPN).

This will be Estrella's second missed game due to left foot soreness. It is the same foot that sidelined him for the 2024-25 season. Estrella was questionable entering the game, and practiced briefly with the team on Feb. 20.

Jaylen Carey will get his second straight start the Vols. In their last game, he finished with seven points on 3-of-9 shooting, seven rebounds and two assists in the 89-66 win over Oklahoma. DeWayne Brown II came off the bench and added 13 points, three rebounds and two assists.
