The NFL offseason has produced several off-the-field storylines that have sparked polarized reactions. Recently, Jaxson Dart went viral after introducing President Donald Trump at a rally. The moment not only caught the attention of fans and teammates, but it has also become a topic of discussion on daytime television.
On Tuesday, Joy Behar of the daytime talk show ‘The View’ shared her thoughts on Dart agreeing to introduce Trump. She heavily criticized the decision and even made an eyebrow-raising comment about his future on the field.

Behar’s biggest issue with Dart introducing Trump centered on her belief that supporting the president is difficult to justify given the controversies surrounding him.

“For somebody to back a guy like Trump whose history, and discrimination, and racism goes back to housing discrimination in the ’70s and DEI attacks and posting pictures of the Obamas as apes,” Behar began during Tuesday’s show.
Trump has faced accusations of racial discrimination dating back to the 1970s, as Behar referenced during the segment. She also pointed to a recent controversial post on Truth Social depicting former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama as apes.
Behar continued her criticism of Dart during the discussion.

“When [Dart is] on a team that’s 55% to 60% of the NFL … of black guys. That is just the definition of stupidity and racism,” Behar continued. Her next comment quickly drew attention as well.

“Maybe he needs a little extra padding,” she concluded. She seemingly suggested Dart could take harder hits because of his political association.
Dart’s public support of Trump has generated criticism from several corners of the football world. His teammate, Abdul Carter, expressed disappointment on social media following the introduction. However, Carter later clarified that he and Dart had a private conversation afterward.
As with most political topics involving Trump, reactions have remained deeply divided. Some fans support Dart’s association with the president, while others strongly oppose it.
Now, The View has become the latest platform to publicly criticize the second-year signal-caller.
