LAFAYETTE ― The Journal & Courier's all-area boys basketball team is selected by coaches from Greater Lafayette's 10 Class 1A and 2A teams.
Clinton Prairie, guard, senior
Numbers: 22.9 points, 7.9 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.6 steals.
Season: Mission accomplished for McGraw, who led Clinton Prairie to history this year. First IHSAA state championship appearance, first semi-state and first regional title while guiding the Gophers to their first IHSAA sectional title since 1982. McGraw accomplished these feats by becoming a complete player as well. His scoring, his athleticism and often times sheer competitive will took Clinton Prairie over the top. McGraw scored 24 points, including 18 in the second half, to lead Clinton Prairie in that IHSAA semi-state final. McGraw leaves Clinton Prairie as the all-time leading scorer in program history with 2,064 points and has accepted a college scholarship to IU-Kokomo.
Rossville, guard, sophomore
Numbers: 18.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.1 steals, 49% field goal percentage, 40% 3-point range.
Season: Thiele-Hahn broke out, becoming one of the area's top outside shooters in the area. Thiele-Hahn had just three games where he didn't score more than 10 points and was named to the Midwestern Conference first team. He scored over 30 points three times with a season-high 35 and nine rebounds against Frankfort on Jan. 18. He notched 31 points and 10 rebounds against Eastern on Jan. 31 and Faith Christian on Feb. 22. Thiele-Hahn had four doubles total on the season.
Benton Central, forward, senior
Numbers: 20.0 points, 8.3 rebounds, shot 37.8% 3-point range, 73% free throws.
Season: The 2023 Journal & Courier Big Schools Player of the Year had a season to remember during his last year of high school basketball. The 6-foot-6 stretch power forward dotted the net with his jumper and form. Sisson finished with 1,251 career points, the third most in Benton Central history, and 505 rebounds.
Carroll, senior, forward
Numbers: 21.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.3 steals, 61% shooting, 38.9% 3-point range.
Season: Falkenberg has the habit of picking up a sport and being able to dominate. In football, he played in just two playoff games, yet managed to score a touchdown. He could do it all on the court as well. He recorded seven doubles and scored 20 points or more on 13 separate occasions. Falkenberg's top performances included 34 points and six rebounds against Sheridan on Feb. 14, 31 points and 11 rebounds against North White on Jan. 31 and 29 points and 10 rebounds against 3A sectional champion Maconaquah on Feb. 11.
Frontier, guard, senior

Season: Turner guided Frontier's quest back to relevancy with consistent performances. He was voted the White County Player of the Year after leading Frontier to the program's first winning season since 2009-10.

11.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.7 steals, 38.4% shooting.
Kelby Harwood, North Montgomery, senior, guard
19.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.7 steals.
Alex Farley, Clinton Prairie, senior, guard
16.3 points, 2.4 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 2.8 steals, 46% 3-point range.
Corbin Mathew, Rensselaer, senior, guard
20.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists.
Austin Stein, Covington, senior, guard
12.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 1.6 steals.
