Tennessee announced a coaching staff change following the 2026 baseball season.

The Vols parted ways with assistant coach Josh Reynolds on Thursday. He oversaw Tennessee's pitching staff since Nov. 2025.

“I want to thank Josh Reynolds for his hard work and dedication to the Tennessee baseball program during his two seasons in Knoxville, but I have decided it’s best for our program to move in a different direction from a pitching standpoint at this time," first-year head coach Josh Elander said.

Reynolds served as Tennessee's director of pitching performance under former head coach Tony Vitello in 2025.

Elander discussed Reynolds being promoted to an assistant coach in Nov. 2025.

"We're excited to announce we have promoted Josh Reynolds to be our new pitching coach here at Tennessee," Elander said. "Josh brings elite development skills, attention to detail and a proven ability to help players reach their highest potential. Our pitching staff is in the best of hands moving forward and we can't wait to continue building upon the investment he has made in our student-athletes."
