While football fans patiently wait for the start of the 2026 NFL season, it’s never too early to start talking about fantasy football. With the majority of drafts set to take place in the coming weeks, I was curious where the experts had Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen heading into this season.
It came as little surprise that Allen was ranked as the top quarterback by ESPN‘s panel of experts. Allen was the top choice by seven of the eight experts, with Eric Moody listing him second behind Lamar Jackson. Overall, Jackson took the second spot, followed by Jayden Daniels, Drake Maye, and Jalen Hurts.
ESPN also includes statistical projections in their breakdowns, and they are predicting a slight uptick for Allen in the 2026 season. The breakdown has Allen attempting 509 pass attempts this season (up from 460 last year) for 3,945 yards. The projections also have Allen passing for 26 touchdowns, while finding another 12 trips to the end zone on the ground. For what it is worth, Allen is predicted to finish with 49 points more than the second quarterback on the statistical breakdown (Jalen Hurts).
As fans of the Buffalo Bills, I realize some of us may be a bit biased when it comes to drafting players from our favorite team. But in the case of Josh Allen, he’s a safe bet to be the top-producing quarterback once again this season.
