Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens is back on the grind, and fans are taking notice.
Just a day after the NFL dropped its official 2025 season schedule, Owens shared three photos of himself practicing on Instagram on Thursday afternoon, signaling to his supporters that the offseason will be ending soon. The picture, which shows him running around on the field, quickly caught attention across social media. He even featured a candid photo with one of his Bears teammates, cornerback Ameer Speed.
"Day by day .. 1%," Owens wrote in his Instagram caption, echoing his mindset for the upcoming season.
Owens, who spent the offseason with his wife, Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles, has stayed mostly low-key in recent months, popping up occasionally on her social media.
It’s been a busy May for the couple. On May 3, they attended the Kentucky Derby, followed just a few days later by a glamorous appearance at the Met Gala on May 6—marking Owens’ debut at the event and their first time attending as a couple.
Adding on, the 28-year-old gymnast delivered this year's commencement address at Washington University in St. Louis on Monday.

Fans and some of Owens' friends flooded the comment section to express their excitement for the upcoming NFL season.
"Keep working!! " one fan commented. "Keep it up! "
"Aura your so tuff," another fan wrote.
"What’s this year 8 now?! Wow what a blessing brother!", one of Owens' friends commented. "Keep working! ."
Owens then responded to this comment, saying, " big
bro!!"

"Real Vet!" Bears wide receiver John Jackson III commented.
Speed, who was featured in the last photo on the Instagram post, even commented, saying "Unc!"

Owens and the Bears will kick off their preseason against the Miami Dolphins at Soldier Field in Chicago, but a date has not been confirmed yet. The regular season will start on September 8 against the Minnesota Vikings at Soldier Field.
