John Harbaugh has begun the process of formally meeting with teams to explore his next landing spot.
The former Baltimore Ravens coach interviewed with the Atlanta Falcons on Monday regarding their coaching vacancy, the organization announced.
Harbaugh, who was fired by the Ravens last Tuesday after an 18-year run leading the team, told Fox Sports on Monday that he planned to narrow his choices over the weekend before beginning interviews with teams.
The New York Giants also have pursued Harbaugh, according to multiple reports. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Harbaugh has also had phone calls with the Tennessee Titans, Cleveland Browns, Las Vegas Raiders and Arizona Cardinals.
The Falcons, who fired coach Raheem Morris after two years, have also met with former Cleveland Browns coach Kevin Stefanski, Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, Seahawks defensive coordinator Aden Durde and Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver. Atlanta has also requested to speak with Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley and Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero, with an interview with former Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel set for this week.
