The Boston Celtics and New York Knicks squared off in a nail-biter on Monday night, going to overtime in their Game 1 matchup to get the second round of the playoffs underway.

The Celtics, and Boston fans, have grown frustrated with their inability to secure a Game 1 win and take advantage of home-court advantage.

After having a 16-point lead after the first half, the Celtics were outscored in the second half and the Knicks were able to have a better second half and stormed back to force overtime.

New York kept their second-half momentum and won the game with a final score of 108-105.

It's worth noting that the Celtics played most of the game without one of their key players, forward Kristaps Porzingis.

Porzingis left the game with an illness and didn't return after only playing 13 minutes.

Joe Mazzulla believed the difference in Game 1 was the Knicks made their open threes in the second half:

"The duality of that question was just really cool to talk about. You know what I mean?" He followed up with another sarcastic remark.

The Celtics' head coach seemed very uptight and frustrated when speaking on his team's fall off in the second half and it definitely showed in the interviews.

Boston will look to host the Knicks for Game 2 on Wednesday and will look to even the series before heading to New York for Games 3 and 4.
