The Los Angeles Lakers bounced back after a poor Game 1 performance against the Minnesota Timberwolves to take Game 2 by a final score of 94-85. While the Lakers got out to a big lead in the first half, things turned into a slugfest later on, especially in the fourth quarter.
Minnesota started to make things competitive as the second half wore on. At one point, it knocked the Lakers' lead down to 11, and head coach JJ Redick called a timeout. He appeared to be very animated, and after the game, he explained what happened at that time.
LeBron James was asked about that timeout after the game.
There is no doubt that Redick is a very emotional coach who wears his emotions on his sleeve, but it seems to be working for this Lakers team. It played with plenty of emotion, effort, intensity and physicality in Game 2 on Tuesday, and it can take all that into the next two games in Minnesota.

AR (Austin Reaves) got some great looks. So, I mean other than the couple kind of disorganized plays, we played good offense tonight. As a coach, you can see it coming. On the other side of that, on the horizon it was building. I just wanted to make sure everybody was on the same page."
