Sometimes you’ve just got to show faith in the youngsters, right? Indeed, it appears as if former Braves shortstop and current Braves manager Walt Weiss has decided to stick with current rookie Braves shortstop Jim Jarvis the day after he made a couple of crucial errors in the field during Saturday night’s walk-off loss to the Orioles.
Here’s the lineup for Atlanta:
Indeed, Jim Jarvis is in there and batting ninth — just like he did on Saturday. Hopefully we’ll see Jarvis bounce back from the rough outing with the glove and we’ll see him contribute to what will hopefully be a series win for the Braves today. That’s the most notable news about Atlanta’s lineup today as the lineup is actually identical to what they put out there for Saturday night. There’s still no news about Eli White following his exit from last night’s game, so there’s that.
Here’s how the Orioles are looking for today’s contest:
Old friend Chadwick Tromp will end up starting all three games during this series against the Braves, so this really has been a bit of a reunion with a player who spent a lot of time in Atlanta’s organization over the past couple of years. Colton Cowser also returns to the lineup in center field after Leody Taveras got the start for Saturday’s contest.
