FLORHAM PARK -- Over the last three months, New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn has done everything he could possibly do to show that he is the new sheriff in town.

On Friday morning, he hit the practice field in front of his incoming rookie class to detail what that would mean for them over the next few years.

And while a coach under the Bill Parcells tree certainly has their own pedigree and style, Glenn's first impression as head coach couldn't be any more different than what his mentor was like.

And the incoming rookies have been nothing but impressed by their leader.

"I think he has a really good balance of being serious and being a player's coach," second-round tight end Mason Taylor said. "Being someone you can talk to and be loose around, but also get on you on the field. It's been amazing. I'm definitely looking forward to doing more business with him."

Taylor's comments weren't the only ones from the 2025 rookie class on Friday. Seventh overall rookie Armand Membou detailed exactly why he has enjoyed being coached by Glenn to this early point in his career.

Membou said Friday that Glenn never "demeans" players, but "does expect the best" out of them.

Glenn passed his first test - a hidden one of sorts - in the Jets locker room when he made it clear to Aaron Rodgers that he was in control of the team moving forward. He passed an additional test during the 2025 draft when he focused on clear needs that helped the future of the organization.

Now, he's getting his rookie class to buy-in immediately.

It seems that things are all coming up well for Glenn so far.
