Football is a team game, and it doesn't matter how good your quarterback is; he can't do it all himself. The New York Jets have done their best to surround Justin Fields with good players this offseason.
The NFL Draft has come and gone, with the franchise adding Armand Membou to give Fields two stud bookends at tackle with Olu Fashanu on the left and Membou on the right.
LSU's Mason Taylor was drafted in the second round, and speed merchant Arian Smith was selected in the fourth round.
So some moves have been made with Fields in mind, and for head coach Aaron Glenn, that's exactly what the franchise wanted to do.
"Listen, we want to surround Justin with good skill players, along with a good offensive line," Glenn said via ESPN. "So any time you can do that within any offense, with any quarterback, man, that's an A-plus. So that's the plan, it's always been the plan, and that's something that we've talked about before. Let him be a quarterback and surround him with good players."

The Jets have had a solid offseason, and one that has been about moving in silence, but the noise of New York needing to get another receiver for Fields is growing louder.
With Garrett Wilson as Fields' only genuine weapon in the passing game, exactly where his running mate comes from is unknown. Allen Lazard, Josh Reynolds, Malachi Corley, Tyler Johnson, and Smith are the other options. Is that enough? Fans would hardly agree.
So yes, the Jets have done a good job of putting some nice pieces around Fields, but more is needed if the offense is to amount to something substantial in 2025.
