The Ravens' first hire in the Jesse Minter era came at the defensive backs position, and then the offensive line got a much-needed injection of quality coaching after Baltimore hired former Falcons run game coordinator/offensive line coach Dwayne Ledford. Ledford became available after Bill Callahan was hired by the Falcons, and his arrival will signal a shift in the Ravens' rushing attack.

Ledford, 49, had been with the Falcons since 2021, first as the Falcons' offensive line coach from 2021-2023, before also adding the additional title of offensive run game coordinator for the past two seasons.

Prior to joining the Falcons, Ledford coached at UNC, ECU, North Carolina State, and Louisville, among others.

During his NFL combine media session, Minter confirmed that Baltimore will utilize a variety of different run schemes, including the outsize zone that turned Bijan Robinson into a star.

With Ledford on the staff, the Falcons had a Top 10 rushing offense in each of the past three seasons, averaging at least 125 rushing yards per game as Bijan Robinson emerged as one of the best running backs in the NFL. Minter hinted that the Ravens want to "take pressure off Lamar Jackson in the run game by handing the ball off to Derrick Henry."
