Another day, another postseason honor for Michigan State basketball star point guard Jeremy Fears Jr.. Less than a week after Fears was named to the Sporting News All-American third team, Fears received an even better designation from the AP voters, as they named him to their second team All-American list.
Fears, who was also named to the All-Big Ten first team, was the engine behind MSU's season, helping them move from the preseason No. 21 team in the country all the way up to No. 11 heading into the NCAA Tournament. Fears averaged 15.7 points per game along with a remarkable 9.2 assists while playing strong defense for the Spartans.
This shouldn't be the end of Fears' awards this year so stay tuned.
