Old Jeffrey Epstein emails — newly released by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and reviewed by PEOPLE — include a series of exchanges between Epstein and New York Giants co-owner Steve Tisch.
On Friday, Jan. 30, the DOJ released over 3 million files from the criminal investigations into Epstein, who was arrested in July 2019 and charged with sex trafficking of minors. One month later, Epstein, 66, died in an apparent suicide while awaiting trial at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City.
In emails sent in 2013, Tisch, 76, received updates from Epstein regarding the scouting of multiple women.
“I can invite the [Russian] … to meet if you like,” Epstein wrote to the prominent film producer in May 2013. One minute later, Tisch replied, “Is she fun?”

The following month, Tisch inquired about a specific woman, asking if the woman Epstein described as a Tahitian woman who “speaks mostly french exotic” was a “working girl.” To that, Epstein wrote, “Never.”
In another exchange that same month, Tisch emailed Epstein to request an update on a woman they had seemingly discussed earlier, writing: “Is my present in NYC?”
After Epstein responded with a simple, “Yes,” Tisch continued, “Can I get my surprise to take me to lunch tomorrow?”
Although Epstein at one point asked to talk over the phone to avoid “records of these conversations,” he appeared to follow up with Tisch after he had met up with one of the women in a thread titled “Ukranian Girl.”
“Report just in, you did very well, she wants to go to the play, she is a little freaked by the age difference but go slow,” he wrote at the time. “I will try to convince her not to return to Ukraine. having her crying worked.”
Soon after, Tisch responded, “Nice report … Funny comment on crying!!!”
In addition to the exchanges between the pair, Epstein also discussed Tisch with a woman named Katya in April 2013.
"Ok, Jeffrey, I'll be in blue loose pants and white loose shirt," Katya writes to Epstein. "I googled Steve Tisch he is oscar winner producer, and Giants owner. I'd love to meet him. My phone number is [redacted]."

In a separate email to Tisch, she wrote, “Jeffrey Epstein is very excited about you and I meeting each other. I like that idea. Do you?"
Following the release of the various email exchanges in January 2026, the Giants released a statement on the co-owner’s behalf.
“We had a brief association where we exchanged emails about adult women, and in addition, we discussed movies, philanthropy, and investments,” the statement read, per The Atlantic. “I did not take him up on any of his invitations and never went to his island. As we all know now, he was a terrible person and someone I deeply regret associating with.”
PEOPLE reached out to the NFL and the New York Giants for comment on Saturday, Jan. 31, but did not receive immediate responses.
In September 2013, the emails also show that Tisch offered Epstein two tickets to his suite for a Giants game. In return, Epstein invited Tisch to visit his private island in the Caribbean, though it is not clear whether either party accepted the invitations.
Epstein previously referred to Tisch as a “shared interest friend” while discussing the woman from Ukraine.
“I will get all info, did you contact the great ass fake tit [redacted] shes a character short term, has an older boyfriend going to acting school, a 10 ass,” he wrote. “I am happy to have you as a new but obviously shared interest friend.”
