Jaxson Dart will be hoping to prove his worth this season following a frustrating 2025, which ended in a dismal 4-13 record for the New York Giants.

A lot has changed over this offseason, with veteran head coach John Harbaugh being brought in to try to steer the Giants back to success.

However, a lot will rest on whether Dart can take his game to another level with players like Isaiah Likely added to the roster to provide him with another outlet on offence.

The Giants will also see running back Cam Skattebo return to the field following his season-ending injury last year.

Early signs out of New York are positive, with Harbaugh said to be an admirer of Dart and what he has shown so far.

To take his game to the next level, Dart has been told he has to emulate the likes of Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers and make mistakes in camp.

Dart ended his rookie season with 15 touchdowns and just five interceptions thrown, despite losing weapons like Malik Nabers to injury.

With training camp well underway, Dart has been told to make his mistakes count whilst he is able to get away with them.

“I think there are expectations for Jaxson Dart. I wrote today just in terms of where he needs to go in camp: he needs to wing it, he needs to make mistakes, and he needs to see what he needs to improve on,” said Art Stapleton on The Pat McAfee Show.

“I’ve dug up research on quarterbacks like Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady, and even going back to Phil Simms. These guys said that’s how you go from good to great, and that’s what Jaxson Dart wants to do. You can’t be afraid to make mistakes this time of year in training camp.”

Dart has some new players he needs to test in camp, with Likely joining from the Baltimore Ravens, along with Odell Beckham Jr. and rookie wide receiver Malachi Fields.

Now is the time to make the interceptions and learn from the mistakes made in camp; not in Week One against the Dallas Cowboys.

Tom Brady is the prime example for any young quarterback who wants to be truly great and Dart needs to acknowledge his own weaknesses if he is to develop as a player.
