Seattle Seahawks star Jaxon Smith-Njigba was the premier wide receiver in the NFL in 2025, and is regarded highly among the best players at the position heading into next season.
Pro Football Focus ranked Smith-Njigba No. 2 overall in their list of the top 32 wide receivers in the league after his historic year in 2025.
”Smith-Njigba enjoyed a dream 2025 season with the Seahawks, winning both the Super Bowl and Offensive Player of the Year,” PFF’s Dalton Wasserman and Max Chadwick said. “His 1,793 receiving yards led the NFL, while his 92.8 PFF grade ranked second among wide receivers. The campaign came one year after his breakout 2024 season, when he ranked 10th in the NFL with 1,130 receiving yards.”
Smith-Njigba ranked behind Los Angeles Rams WR Puka Nacua, who ranked No. 1 overall. The 24-year-old Smith-Njigba won the AP Offensive Player of the Year award in 2025 and was the best deep-ball threat in the league operating out of the slot and on the outside.
Whether it was beating his man in coverage or making big time plays time and again for the Seahawks, JSN showed himself to be a big time performer in 2025, and more of the same is expected in 2026.
