Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL, and the same goes for fantasy football, including in dynasty leagues.
On Sunday’s episode of the “89 Show,” NFL legend Steve Smith Sr. ranked Smith-Njigba No. 3 overall in his penthouse tier of wide receivers for dynasty fantasy football leagues for next season, denoting the best players at the position for team managers to build their teams around, citing opposing defenses’ as a reason why he many not perform as the overall WR1.
“Having 119 receptions, almost 2,000 yards, man people are going to start paying attention to you a little bit,” Smith said. “And also too, offensive coordinator has changed. Any time you’re the Super Bowl champs, teams are going to be giving you their best shot. And what’s the best way to give the Seattle Seahawks their best shot? Is, double and triple-team JSN.”
Smith-Njigba is the reigning AP Offensive Player of the Year, having won the award over Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase (No. 1) and Los Angeles Rams WR Puka Nacua (No. 2), who ranked ahead of the Seahawks’ offensive dynamo.
The amount of success that Smith-Njigba achieved last season sets him up to be keyed in on more next season, but with a potential greater emphasis on the passing attack in Seattle next season and another year of experience under his belt, his game is expected to grow in accordance with the level of pressure that he will face in 2026.
At only 24-years-old, JSN is a young, elite talent who has already put up historic numbers, and appears to have many more historic years ahead of him, making him a top shelf wide receiver to go after in dynasty leagues for next season.
