The Seattle Seahawks are signing star wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba to a record-breaking contract extension worth $168.6 million, per Adam Schefter.
The deal comes a few days after the Seahawks picked up Smith-Njigba's fifth-year option, allowing the two sides more time to work out a long-term extension. The four-year deal links the wide receiver to Seattle through the 2031 season.
The 2025 season represented the first year in Smith-Njigba's short career that he was featured as the No. 1 wide receiver in the Seahawks ' offense. While many doubted his ability to lead an offense, he responded with a season that earned him Offensive Player of the Year honors, finishing with 1,793 yards, the most in the NFL.
