Jason Kelce shared a special moment with a young fan at the American Century Championship.
As Kelce, 38, competes in the annual Lake Tahoe celebrity golf tournament, the retired NFL star made 16-year-old Andrew Bogetti’s day when he invited the young fan to hit a ball with him at the Edgewood Tahoe Resort on Wednesday, July 8.
Kelce and Bogetti, from Rippon, California, chatted on the course after the teen took a swing and thanked Kelce for the invite. “Hey, that was awesome. Thank you again,” Bogetti told Kelce, PEOPLE reports. “Best of luck, man,” Kelce told Bogetti before asking him a bit about his golf aspirations.
Bogetti tells PEOPLE the moment with Kelce was “awesome” and says it happened just because Kelce was game. “I brought my clubs....I just asked him to sign my sport card holder and I asked him for a long drive and he was down to do it,” says Bogetti, adding that while he only “got one swing” he was watching Kelce practice “for a while” on the course.

“I remember watching him when I was a little kid,” Bogetti recalls, adding, “It was awesome watching him win the Super Bowl.”

Jason also made headlines at the ACC tournament in Lake Tahoe when he made his first public comments about his brother Travis Kelce’s wedding to Taylor Swift, six days after the couple tied the knot in a star-studded New York City ceremony on Friday, July 3.
Jason told a fan, “It was a good time,” while on the course, according to The New York Post, and he described the wedding as “great” when another fan asked.
The outlet said Jason was also asked by a fan if he drank more or less than 15 beers during the wedding, to which he reportedly replied saying it was “way over” that amount.
Kylie Kelce joined her husband at the Edgewood Tahoe Resort on Thursday, where she also broke her silence on the big wedding. Kylie told PEOPLE it was “incredible” after she stopped to pose for a selfie with a fan. The mother of four brought along her and Jason’s youngest daughter Finn to the annual tournament, which he and Travis participate in annually. This year, however, Travis is not competing.
