NEED TO KNOW

  • Former Philadelphia Eagles players Kelce and Beau Allen participate in the Brotherly Shovel, honoring beer commercials past
  • Kelce previously joked that with the ads for the light beer company, they can "go dumber"

Jason Kelce's Garage Beer commercial for the Super Bowl stinks.

The Philadelphia Eagles legend and Garage Beer co-owner (he owns the company with brother Travis Kelce) stars in an ad paying tribute to classic beer commercials while also digging its own path.

Kelce, 38, along with Beau Allen, are doing the dirty work while enjoying the light beer in its debut Super Bowl commercial for the 2026 game.

The Brotherly Shovel is "grounded in nostalgia, self-awareness, and not taking ourselves too seriously." Filmed at a farm outside of Philadelphia in Conshohocken, Pa., the former football players find themselves cleaning up after other football legends.

"We make a promise to do things the right way to respect the tradition," a booming voiceover announces, "and to shovel what tradition leaves behind." Majestic Clydesdale horses gallop away, pulling a beer wagon aside.

Enter: Kelce, Allen, 34, and a miniature horse named Doug, shovelers extraordinaire, taking care of business and then cracking open a cold one.

Garage Beer is no stranger to paying homage to the classics, such as the Budweiser Clydesdales here. They released Brewmiteand Thermal Buzz, honoring nostalgic movies Kelce grew up with and, well, just guys hanging out.

"I don't think we should over-complicate it. I think, like I said, when it comes to beer, I think when you're having fun and you're being personable, you're being creative, all the best beer ads I know are fun, creative," Kelce said in August 2025, promoting Brewmite II, a 17-minute-long beer commercial.

"They get to the essence of what beer drinking is, which is either friendship or buddies hanging out, and you're doing something stupid together and it's funny."

The ad's director, Jordan Phoenix, agreed. "And we've done something that you might get a little sneak peek at the end of this thing that's like, each one, bigger crew, dumber ideas, bigger ideas."

To which Kelce quipped: "We can go dumber."

Going above and beyond, Garage Beer will also have its own halftime show. “Garage Beer is taking on Big Beer in a way only we can — MTV Deathmatch Style," a press release reads. "After the showdown, we’re giving away all the props and clay figures on our social channels.”

The commercial will live on Garage Beer social channels and will also be broadcast live during the 2026 Super Bowl on the evening of Sunday, Feb. 8, in the Philadelphia DMA.
