Pro Bowl defensive end Jared Verse has broken his silence regarding being traded from the Los Angeles Rams to the Cleveland Browns for two-time Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett.

Verse met with Cleveland media for the first time this week and he got brutally honest about the emotions that came with being traded.

Jared Verse said trade to from Rams to Browns was 'upsetting'​

At first, Verse admitted that he was unhappy about the move, but after having some time to wrap his head around it, he's shifted his mindset. Now, he's eager and excited to continue his career as a member of the Browns

“It caught me by surprise. I love L.A. I love the coaches, the organization, my teammates, the staff, the fans. I love the whole vibe of L.A. It was upsetting. I was upset for a good little bit of time, but when you’re an athlete you understand the nature of business," Verse said.

"Everybody does what they think is best for their business and that’s the situation that I’m in. I’m happy to be a part of the Browns. I’m happy that they believe in me and that they were able to make that trade and bring me here.”
