Jamal Musiala is undoubtedly one of Bayern Munich’s best players, and he’s only ever gotten better over time. The coaches that take him through that process play a much bigger role than people realize.
In a recent interview captured by \@iMiaSanMia, Jamal Musiala has opened up about the impact that world-class management has on his game. The young superstar heaped praise on Germany boss Julian Nagelsmann, while also drawing a direct parallel to his current manager in Bavaria.
“Julian is a great coach because he gives every player confidence,” Musiala explained. “That trust is exactly what I need. I felt the same way through Vincent Kompany. It helps me enormously and does me a lot of good. It allows me to play freely and confidently. I’ve become more mature over time, and Julian trusts me to take responsibility.”
Musiala is really highlighting how a manager’s faith can completely unlock a player’s creative freedom on the pitch. By feeling that same level of trust from both Nagelsmann on the international stage and Kompany back at club level, the young playmaker is in the perfect environment to keep reaching new heights. It shows a level of growing maturity where he is no longer just a young talent enjoying his football, but a leading figure ready to shoulder the responsibility for both club and country. Having that kind of mental clarity and elite backing will undoubtedly be a massive asset for Bayern Munich as they head into the new season.
