In the NBA world, all you can do is look forward. You can't sulk around too much on recent results that don't go your way. The Oklahoma City Thunder have learned that lesson after their Game 7 loss to the San Antonio Spurs in the 2026 Western Conference.

All you can do is get up and dust off your shoulders. A four-month summer is underway for the Thunder. With impending roster changes this offseason, OKC hopes to have better injury luck next year on its quest to bring home a second Larry O'Brien trophy.

But first, some vacation time. Jalen Williams and Jared McCain attended the United States' 4-1 win over Paraguay in the 2026 FIFA World Cup group stage on Friday. The match took place in Los Angeles. Williams posted about it on his social media account. Meanwhile, McCain was spotted on a top streamer's feed.

Both should play a huge role in OKC's next handful of playoff runs. Williams was sidelined in their biggest game of the year with a fourth hamstring strain in five months. The All-NBA talent just couldn't stay healthy this past year, with just 33 regular-season games and two whole playoff games played.

Meanwhile, McCain's addition went from a luxury to a necessity. He's one of the biggest reasons why the Thunder even fell five wins short of back-to-back NBA championships. His surprising scoring punch off the bench helped OKC get some desperately-needed offense.

Good to see Williams and McCain spend time together off the court. Injuries seldom saw them together in their first season together, but both will be part of the Thunder for the long haul as they try to help Shai Gilgeous-Alexander strengthen his resume as an all-time great.
