The Boston Celtics continue their title retention bid when they face off against the New York Knicks in the second round of the playoffs.
The Celtics aim to maintain their mastery of the Knicks, whom they swept in their four meetings in the regular season.
Boston is coming off an easy series against the Orlando Magic, while New York got tested by the Detroit Pistons. The Knicks are the clear underdogs against the defending champions, who are looking for their first back-to-back titles since 1968 and 1969.
One thing that's going for the Knicks is the stellar play of Jalen Brunson. In six games versus the Pistons, he averaged 31.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 8.2 assists. He also made the series-clinching shot.

Ahead of Game 1 on Monday against the Celtics, Brunson and Josh Hart had time to relax. They even decided to FaceTime WNBA star A'ja Wilson early in the morning to show they got her first signature shoes.
"Y'all pls look at the time…Only these two would FT me before 8 a.m. PST to yell at me about getting their A’ONEs! I love my dawgs ," wrote Wilson on Threads, while showing a screenshot of Brunson and Hart.
In February, Nike announced the upcoming release of A’One, an homage to the Las Vegas Aces center, describing her as a "beacon" that the next generation could look up to.
Well, apparently, even NBA stars look up to the three-time WNBA MVP.
Curiously, Wilson lost to the New York Liberty in the semifinals of the playoffs, which ended their bid for a three-peat. But obviously, she doesn't hold it against players from the Big Apple.
Especially when they're touting her new signature shoes.
