New York Knicks radio announcer Monica McNutt made a huge mistake with Taylor Swift during the NBA Finals and guard Jalen Brunson is now trying to help her out.
When Swift was in attendance for Game 4 of the NBA Finals, McNutt was caught on a hot mic questioning the pop superstar’s loyalty to the Knicks, which did not sit well with the Swifties.
“She’s not a Knicks fan. Get out of here, girl,” McNutt, said of Swift.
The last thing anyone wants to do is upset the Swifties and McNutt is finding that out first hand.

After the Knicks wrapped up the NBA Finals on Saturday night with a 94-90 win over the San Antonio Spurs in Game 5, Brunson had a message for Swifties.
“I just want to say something to the Swifties,” Brunson said. “She’s a really good one. Cut her some slack. It’s all good. I promise.”
While we appreciate Brunson’s plea for McNutt, we’re not sure that’s going to be enough.
The only person on planet Earth who can convince Swifties to forgive someone who says something even remotely negative about Taylor Swift is Taylor Swift.

What McNutt didn’t know is that Swift has attended some Knicks games over the years and even owns an Amar’e Stoudemire jersey.
Stoudemire even confirmed to TMZ that Swift is indeed a Knicks fan and he “had a great friendship” with her during his time with the Knicks.
“From what I know, she’s a Knicks fan. When I played there, we developed a great friendship,” Stoudemire said. “She came to a Knicks practice, we showed her the court, helped her make a dunk, sat down to chat, and had a wonderful conversation with her and her family. It was a great moment. So I really do think she’s a Knicks fan.”
After learning of Swift’s connection to the Knicks, McNutt has since admitted she was wrong.
“I misspoke, I did not know,” McNutt said. “But shoutout to T-Swift, we can be united in orange and blue.”
Unfortunately for McNutt, that’s probably too little, too late for Swifties.
We’re going to need a Taylor Swift intervention to save the Knicks announcer from the wrath of her fans.
