Jalan Wingfield, a 6-foot-7 power forward from Atlanta whose father, Dontonio, played one season for the Cincinnati Bearcats, is no longer considering just 10 schools and has reopened his recruitment, according to a report by Rivals' Joe Tipton.

Jalan announced in January, per Tipton, that UC was among 10 finalists, along with Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Florida State and Mississippi State.

"Cincinnati is amazing, it feels like home over there," Jalan told On3's Jamie Shaw in December 2024. "You know, my dad went there, so I'm familiar with the program. My relationship with Coach Chad (Dollar) is really good. I can't even lie. It just feels like home with him, like he's my uncle, you know. They've got a big campus up there and all their facilities are nice."
