Former UFC champions Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva weighed in early for the “Jake vs. Joshua” co-main event tomorrow night (Dec. 19, 2025) at Kaseya Center in Miami, with “The Chosen One” (194) coming in heavier than “The Spider” (191.4). That’s a bit of a surprise considering Woodley held the UFC welterweight title while Silva was middleweight champion — with a winning record in the light heavyweight division.

Both fighters will return to the stage for the ceremonial festivities later tonight.

Reminder: Woodley vs. Silva is being contested at a catchweight of 195 pounds.

“A lot of people don’t know I was killing myself to make 170,” Woodley said at the “Jake vs. Joshua” press conference. “I weigh solid brick, 205 pounds, and I used to cut a lot of weight to get down to 170. There’s been some very gruelling cuts, where my coaches had to push my knees up and down just to get me to run. I was old school. I never did the Epsom salt baths, alcohol, and hot tubs. I just didn’t know how that was going to affect my performance. So, for me to go out there and fight free closer to my weight, it feels good, it’s less stress. Anderson is going to have to cut a little weight. I’ll have a little bit of an advantage there, but I feel like the heart and just being a better fighter is my ultimate advantage in the fight.”
