Jake Paul is eyeballing a return to boxing.
Still recovering from a broken jaw suffered during a loss to Anthony Joshua in December, Paul said he’s been cleared by his doctor to start sparring in two to three months. Boxing matches apparently will follow.
"There’s a long list of opponents out there," Paul said during Netflix’s livestream of the MVP MMA card featuring Ronda Rousey Saturday, May 16. "But I’m just going to get slowly back into training and figure out when I’m going to make that return."
Paul, 29, is 12-2 with seven KOs.
Earlier in the week, Paul told combat sports reporter Ariel Helwani retirement from boxing was a possibility depending on how his jaw was healing. But he said tests later in the week changed the narrative.
"Two days later I go to the hospital and my doctor says I can start (sparring) in 2-to-3 months and everything is healing perfectly," he said.
Paul said his return won’t be limited to boxing.
"I’m going to do MMA," he said. "I’m going to do an MMA fight for sure."
