Between now and training camp, we will be going through the Jacksonville Jaguars' full 90-man roster, previewing each player.
Up next is defensive end Zach Durfee, who wears No. 58.
Durfee was selected in the seventh round of the 2026 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Durfee ended his college career at Washington, where he had a breakout year in 202 5. He totaled 53 tackles (24 solo), 35 quarterback pressures, 8.5 tackles for loss, 6.5 sacks, three passes defensed, and one forced fumble.
He also ranked 11th in pass rush win rate among defensive ends, according to PFF, and was highlighted by ESPN as their 2026 Prospect X.
As a late-round draft pick, Durfee will still have an uphill climb when it comes to making the final roster. Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker will continue to lead the unit, but Durfee will be competing with Danny Striggow, BJ Green, Wesley Williams, and Bryan Thomas, Jr. for snaps.
For what it's worth, last year the Jaguars rostered six defensive ends, but some teams will keep only five. Working in Durfee's favor is the high praise he has already received from defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile. But to make the final roster, Durfee will need to build on that praise and turn it into an impressive performance in training camp.
Being able to contribute on special teams may be an important part of the evaluation process.
