Between now and training camp, we will be going through the Jacksonville Jaguars' full 90-man roster, previewing each player.
Up next is defensive end Bryan Thomas, Jr., who wears No. 57.
Thomas was signed as an undrafted free agent (UDFA) following the 2026 NFL Draft.
Thomas had a breakout year for South Carolina in 2025, earning All-SEC Third-Team honors while recording 38 pressures and a team-high seven sacks, according to PFF. He has been a fairly sound tackler, and for what it's worth, he's graded out well against the run by PFF's metrics.
Thomas ended the year with 41 tackles and 11 tackles for loss. He was also named a Rex Enright permanent team captain.
Thomas faces a crowded edge rusher room. Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker will continue to lead at the position, but at a heavily rotated position, other players see regular playing time as well, and that could give Thomas an opportunity to stand out at training camp.
He's already been named as a UDFA to watch, however, he will likely have to leapfrog one of Danny Striggow, BJ Green, Wesley Williams, or Zach Durfee on the depth chart to earn a roster spot. The ability to contribute on special teams will be important.
