Only three points separate the top two players on the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup points list.
But the gap will likely stay the same after the Cognizant Classic at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, which begins on Feb. 26.
Jacob Bridgeman took over the lead in the season-long points race with his victory last week in the Genesis Invitational. A haul of 700 points bumped him 13 spots from No. 14 the previous week and with 1,069 points, he’s got a small lead over two-time 2026 winner Chris Gotterup.
However, Bridgeman withdrew from the Cognizant Classic. Ryan Gerard, No. 7 in points, is the only top-10 player in the field this week at PGA National and can catch Bridgeman with a victory and 500 points. Gerard is 479 points back.
The next-highest players on the points list in the Cognizant field are No. 23 Patrick Rodgers and No. 32 Shane Lowry.
